(cont.) But anyone who is HIV+ or living with AIDS is dealing with an emotional and physical burden that most of us can’t even imagine. A heart-felt, “Is there anything I can do to encourage you?” might be a welcome invitation.
4. Give of your resources. I wrote previously about the grannies of Africa: grandmothers in extremely poor communities who are caring for their grandchildren because their sons and daughters died of AIDS.

If you would like to help carry the grannies’ burden, you can write a check for any amount to Willow Creek Community Church. In the memo section write: AIA (which stands for AIDS in Africa). Mail the check to my assistant, Brannon Anderson, at PO Box 3188, Barrington, IL 60011. One hundred percent of your check will be distributed through Willow’s Global Connections ministry directly to church projects in South Africa that assist grannies with food, medical supplies and/or educational opportunities for the kids.
