For over a decade Bill and I have spent the month of July in a little coastal town in Michigan for a mini-Sabbatical that allows Bill to prepare talks for his favorite event of the year—The Leadership Summit—sponsored by the Willow Creek Association. This week is “Summit week,” so we’re back at home in Barrington, Illinois, where we’ll be joined by leaders from all over the world who believe that God has called all Christians to respond to the spiritual, relational and social problems that plague our planet.

If you’re a praying person, would you mind offering a prayer that the thousands of leaders who attend the Summit will be inspired and equipped to be part of God’s work of touching people’s lives and fixing this troubled world. When the conference ends, I’ll be sure and share with you the high points…from my perspective, anyway!
