I am excited to be leaving today for some speaking engaements with Tearfund in the UK and Ireland. After that I will head to Cape Town, South Africa, to visit some wonderful people - my heroes - who are fighting injustice on a daily basis. While I am gone, I wanted you to know about a woman I know who is using her gifts to fight injustice in a unique way.

My friend, contemplative artist Marg Rehnberg, of CompassionArt, is passionate to use her art to support the fight for global justice. In this “Global Women Series” Marg superimposed photos by International Justice Mission photographer Ted Haddock against a background of her

abstract paintings. The composite images are printed on 4” x 4” wood blocks, with the story of each woman printed on the back.

Production of the art pieces was paid for by an outside funder, so 100% of your $25 donation will go directly to International Justice Mission to support their work on behalf of women, men and children trapped in slavery, exploited sexually, or victimized by other forms of violent oppression. You can view them, read these women's stories and find out how to get these composites and support IJM here.
